The annual Relay for Life event is happening on May 7th, and… we’re doing it as a club!
Grace and Matteo have created a team for us called “Veni Vidi Vici Cancer”, and it’ll be a great service event for Latin Club. Here are the details:
The event is from 6pm - 12am, Saturday May 7th, 2016. Kickoff is at 6pm, and different laps/events/ceremonies will go take place from then on, with the closing ceremony at 11:30pm. Latin Club members are free to come and go as they need—there just needs to be at least one team member walking the track at all times from 6:30pm-9pm.
Anyone interested needs to sign up with this link. You’ll need to make an account, select Veni Vidi Vici Cancer, then set a personal fundraising goal. Any money you’re able to raise through family, friends, etc. also goes towards our team goal of $1000. However, you do NOT need to fundraise in order to sign up for the event and attend, though it’s HIGHLY encouraged.
We’re asking that all officers and tribunes attend for as much of the event as possible. If you know you can’t, have a good reason. We hope to encourage many of our club members to come and support cancer survivors and patients, as well as have a good time :)
Please give a big round of applause for Ms. Shelley Barndollar who will be our chaperone for Relay for Life. Be sure to include her name and the number (512) 619-0038 on your Youth Participation Agreement form.
You will not be allowed to enter without a signed Youth Agreement Form. Download here.
